The «Atlas of Orthopedic Pathology», Volume 1
For print, we cooperated with the publishing house "ABV-press", which provided us with support at this stage.
In partnership with the authors, Social Animals team worked on the design and the layout of the book. The design is a continuation of the unique content of the book. We analyzed the medical literature and developed a design that is different from anything you see on the shelves of narrow-profile book stores.
The “Atlas of Orthopedic Pathology” is the first in a three-volume book on orthopedic pathologies.
The authors of the book combined dozens of years of practical experience in Russia and the United States and wrote a book unique for the Russian-speaking world.
While working on this book, we went through several steps:

2021 — Creative project by Giorgi Gasashvili — 3D, motion, sound design
Dante, Inferno
— Gio, Social Animals co-founder.
The project was created to participate in the Alternate Realities challenge. The work got into the TOP-25 out of 2400 participants from all over the world.
The render is inspired by Eugene Delacroix’s painting "Dante's Boat", the plot of which is based on the eighth song of hell from the work "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri.
"In this project, I made the most of my time management skills and the ability to work efficiently, quickly and make the best decisions, since the idea was grandiose, and the time to create the work, as well as the technical capabilities of the computer, was limited. This project took 2.5 weeks of almost continuous work and rendering.
The render composition needed to be divided into components:
I knew from the very beginning that I wouldn’t be able to render all of that in a single scene due to the technical limitations of the computer, so my compositing and post-production skills came in handy here.
I started with the water simulation, and, ideally, I would have added more details, but it was also important to keep going and include other components of the composition, so I achieved the most acceptable result and moved on to the next stage.
Next, I worked on the characters, and it was a very interesting step, since I interacted with cloth simulation. First, I designed the fabric, then to convey the feeling of heavy winds, I applied wind simulation to make the fabric react to air movements. It was a time-consuming process after which I added characters to the composition.
According to the conditions of the competition, a round shape had to be placed on the background, and I decided to include something like a portal there, for which I applied particle simulation. I created this simulation separately and then added it to the main composition. The same goes for the golden frame around the portal.
The clouds in the background are taken from the original painting, "The Destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum" by John Martin, which is now in the public domain. To add more dynamics, I cut the painting into 3 layers and then animated them separately. Next, in After Effects, I added lightning, which also highlighted the clouds.
As for the background, I decided to cut down on the production time by working entirely in post-production.
I found ready-made models of zombie-people and applied 5-6 different motion animations to these characters and filled the space underwater with them. There were a lot of characters, but I made enough of different animations so that there was no noticeable repetition. I decided that the most effective way to show the characters is to highlight the water at the moment when the lightning shoots.
The last step was the creation of people underwater. I wanted to add them from the very beginning, but I knew that building this whole scene would be a very time-consuming process, and the scene would still look great even if I wouldn’t manage to find time to add these characters. However, since in the previous stages I reduced the time and worked as efficiently as possible, I had the opportunity to add this piece as well.
At the very end, I added sound effects, thanks to which you are even more immersed in the atmosphere of the render".

Eco-Calendar for Schneider Electric
Sustainability has been a big topic for Schneider Electric for years, and it’s one of the main focuses for 2022. To popularize this topic among company’s employees, Schneider Electric Green Team CIS team, together with Social Animals created a calendar of environmental initiatives for 2022.

Each month of the Green Calendar is dedicated to a specific environmental theme. Custom illustrations were created for each theme, as well as for the cover, which can also be used by the Green Team for other environmental initiatives, presentations, and other materials. The illustrations were created taking into account the brand book of the company.
"The challenge was to create an ecological calendar with activities for our employees, taking into account two important factors: a fairly strict brand book and our desire to make the calendar bright and memorable, following current trends.
Schneider Electric presented the calendar as an example of a successful environmental initiative at a meeting of the CSR and Sustainability Committee of CCI France Russie.

Board game «Morok»
Board game "Morok" is a tactical card game based on the principles of solitaire and mahjong, suited for an audience of 16+. There are 7 anthropomorphic characters. The rules of the game are based on the layout of cards that are laid out on the table in a certain pattern. The name of such layouts is "nav". This refers to the beliefs of the ancient Slavic people, for whom the world is divided into 3 parts: "prav'", "nav'", and "yav'" or "reality".

"The game is based on Slavic mythology and is inspired by the ancient Russian folklore and its interpretation in the form of illustrations by Ivan Bilibin and the Palekh miniature. The board game draws attention to Slavic mythology, as it is usually perceived in the form of children’s fairy tales, but in reality it is something more dark and mystical."

Simple Shape: Story of a Wheel
The video got into TOP-40 out of 300 participants
The project was created to participate in the Automotive CG Challenge by YouTube-blogger, 3D and VFX artist from London Andrey Lebrov.

"Thanks to the Social Animals team and Daria personally. Our company approached with one task: to form the positioning of the brand in the soft drinks market. The peculiarity of our product is the absence of a formed niche in the Russian market of functional drinks.
As a result of the work, we received ready-made tools for image formation, positioning and detuning among competitors, recommendations for the formation of a commercial offer.
In the process of collecting information about our product, we identified weaknesses and strengths. The Social Animals team studied both the Russian and foreign markets and offered the most effective packaging and image-building solutions. It was important for us not only to carry out an analysis and draw conclusions, but also to prescribe a clear step-by-step plan for further work in all areas, from rebranding to the implementation of the communication plan. We also provided the client with drafts of a new identity and packaging design, references for changes in the design of the site, social networks and marketing materials, as well as creative texts, theses and headings that can be used in work right now.
Exploration
2-hour call with a client, where we discuss 3 components: Customer, Client, Company. As a result, we analyze the client’s request, determine the wishes, goals and form a step-by-step plan for further work.
Market research
We conduct a comprehensive analysis by a team in Russia and the USA: competitors, trends in the soft drinks market in Russia and abroad, trends in packaging design. As a result, we draw a parallel with the current actions of the client, select trends that are relevant to us, conduct a SWOT analysis and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current product and positioning.
Brand audit
We analyze current materials: identity, packaging, website, communications, customer and audience reviews, tone of voice and positioning. As a result, we offer a list of changes that can be implemented to achieve brand goals, whether it be sales, building a strong community, promoting the brand, and so on.
Target audience
We work out in detail the categories of the target audience, as well as what information and values need to be broadcast for each category. We also prescribed a specific wording when addressing each type of audience in the B2C segment, as well as an example of a basic offer to partners in the B2B segment.
Positioning
We are working on a strong positioning, taking into account the information and conclusions that we received in the previous stages. We describe in detail the mission, values, voice and character of the brand, brand legend, USP in the B2C and B2B segments. All texts, slogans and headlines can be used in brand marketing and communication materials right now.
Communications plan
We wrote down a list of product, team, and mission messages that need to be communicated in order to make a holistic impression on potential customers. Next, we compiled a list of sites (media, communities, bloggers) where we can find the brand’s audience, as well as placement options on each site and other details. We also set out the stages according to which you should start publishing PR materials, launching collaborations, advertising in the media and with bloggers.
Social media
We analyzed the current content on the brand’s social networks, analyzed competitors in terms of the same indicators, and also looked at the results of current targeted advertising campaigns. As a result, they identified strengths and weaknesses and came up with a list of suggestions and steps that can be implemented right now.
Website
Together with our partners, web design agency Web Valley, we conducted a detailed audit of the MagniuM website, as well as competitor websites in terms of design, user experience, SEO indicators. Next, we wrote down growth points and recommendations for each block of the current site, and also came up with a list of references and solutions that we propose to apply.
Rebranding: concept
Based on our analysis, we came up with proposals for changing the logo, corporate identity, packaging and marketing materials. We also provided references and first drafts of the new identity and packaging design.
Upon completion of work with MagniuM, we issued all our analysis, conclusions, recommendations and a step-by-step plan for further work in the form of a presentation.

Academy of Service is a consulting company that operates in the field of administrative services and provides a wide range of services, from consulting and auditing to the full implementation of turnkey projects. The Academy of Service business model is unique and has no analogues on the Russian market, and the founders of the company are experts in the field of administrative services, organization and filling of the space.

At the end of 2021, the client updated some elements of the landing page with the help of their internal design team.
In addition, Social Animals and Academy of Service have partnered as some Academy of Service clients require our services as well.
From the suggested references and moodboards, they liked two very opposite ideas, which we developed in the stylescape format. We understand that it is a really difficult task to decide what visual solutions you want to implement, especially if the client is faced with such a need for the first time. Therefore, we do everything so that our clients get acquainted with various scenarios for the development of events, "try on" them for themselves, and only then make a choice.
The client also needed advice on choosing a company name and copywriting services in Russian and English for a website, presentation and other materials.
We worked on texts and creating an identity at the same time in order to present a complete solution. In this case, it is easier for the client to imagine how the final project will look like in real life. The creation of the landing page was the last stage of the project.
It was important for the client to launch online with high quality, to develop all the necessary materials to get started, as well as to participate in promotional events and present their project to the public.
At the moment, the Academy of Service is successfully developing, and the founders of the company are building a personal brand and company image by participating in promotional events, conferences, and so on.

The Social Animals team developed a logo, identity, and a landing page that serves as a business card for the company and its founder, presenting previous experience and current services.
